Ep. 339 - Talking the Disaster in East Palestine, Ohio and more

The team gives their thoughts on the disaster in East Palestine, Ohio (80 miles away from Cleveland) and the response. Later in the show, the team talks about if social media is harming relationships, the "controversy" over Lift Every Voice and Sing and more.
This is the FCB podcast network is when they run ja boot, change that to dog. We don't listen to y'alls in the Outdog. We don't listen to y'alls in the outdog. Make a scream out down like a sound dog because the rockets into clowns like a blaa. Tuned into the charge from the Outdoor, tuned into the char from the Outlaw Walcome to the Outlaws. This is Darby on the Cave in Borrow alongside Robino Valley and Tip Broan. Don't forget too Like us on Facebook and Facebook dot com, Slash the Outlaws Radio, follow us on Twitter and Instagram at the Outlaws Radio. You all should hear some of the things that we leave on the cutting room floor in uh Pee time with Row because the story we were just talking about off the air that we're not wanting to talk about on the air was hilarious. Oh man, Robin, why do you do this to me? It wouldn't be right if I did it like right before the show started. Oh man, how are you? I'm good. I'm actually really good. Well, I'm just chilling, you know, minding my business other than you know, celebrities, but you know, other than being messy. I'm pretty good. I'm pretty good. Had had a good week, had a good week, so pretty good. Um, I'm just leave it at that. Yeah, we're gonna leave it right there. Um, how you doing, sir, I'm great. I Uh. We need to hear more about your week, maybe, lady, well maybe maybe I'll catch your life from me. Finally, it is not on me. It is on DAR what what is on me? It's on you? Now? Okay, No, you you the one. You're the one who's h dm B off the hook all the time. That's a lie. That's a whole lie. I say, why should be trying to sit up here and act like her phone is dry because you leave people's one read right, does not mean your phone is dry because people think it through because they're on D and D don't mean it. Don't mean they ain't trying to get the through. Stop it, stop it not me whatever? Whatever. Um, So we have we have a lot of things to discuss, um the first thing, and I don't I don't think we didn't talk about this last week. I don't think right. Um, we gotta talk about East Palestine, Ohio eighty miles where we're at here in Cleveland. Um, I've been kind of disturbed about the fact that it's so damn hard to get some information about what's really going on down there. And we live in Ohio. Like I said, it's only eighty miles house. UM. I wrote an article in Newsweek titled why the elites don't give a damn about Ohio, and I was using that as first literally the state of Ohio, but also Ohio winds and people like us culturally in other states. And it just the response to this stuff really bothers me because the federal government has been really slow. I saw our Governor Mike Dwin say today that FEMA said that East Palatine is not eligible for disaster relief. What the hell if that's not a disaster, what the hell is a disaster like That's that's absurd, That's absolutely ridiculous. You have these people. I saw one. I saw one lady say she took a shower and her skin was burning, and it burned for the rest of the day. But they keep telling these people that the water is fine, everything's fine, nothing to see a year, the area is okay. But then you see these videos on Twitter and on other sud media platforms of people throwing rocks or sticks in the creek and just seeing puddles of chemicals come up. Clearly, everything's not okay. I don't give a damn what you say. So as a matter of fact, the other day Justice Guitarloff, who's a commentator, a Democrat, actually a Democratic commentator on Fox News. She's on the show called The Five, and she said, you know, her her father had passed away from a nine eleven related cancer or no related I don't know, I don't remember. She was cancering now, but nine eleven related illness. And she said they told them that it was okay to go back, you know, after nine eleven happened, that you didn't have to worry about the smoke that had been put in the air as a result of those buildings coming down and all else sorces thing, and it ended up not being true. And she was like, you know, she don't want that to happen to anybody else. And she also said, you know, Pittsburgh and Cleveland were the two closest cities, like major cities to East Palestine. She was like, evacuate those people and get those people to those cities, which I totally agree with. Actually, I spoke to Cleveland Council President Blaine Griffin over the phone yesterday and asked him his view on that. His response was, he would welcome the people of East Palestine. So the state, the state and the federal government need to step up and do their damn jobs and make that happen. But you can't keep telling me that. You can't. You can't keep saying that that water is cool when people's skins are burning after having a shower, Like, I just I'm not buying it. Dante, your thoughts, Yeah, it's been real hard to get any sort of information. I mean, you look somewhere and some people say it's as bad as Chernobyl, and then you look at other places and they say, man, it's not that big of a deal. So it's like I am really at a loss trying to find out what is really going on and what are what local government and what the state is doing about this, because for something like this, the cover up would be worse than the actual original sin. So like, if that's the part that I'm really worried about or really concerned about, Like are you trying to or did you try to swoop this under the world, or are you trying to like make this go away because it's not. And I can guarantee if you know, politicians have this thing of like, well, let's try and ignore it and maybe it'll go away, or you know, let's try and like let's try and spin it so it's not that bad, or you know, you can drink the flint. Flint Michigan is still the topic of conversation in many circles. Okay, it will not go away, and it will be a thousand times worse if this turns out to be as bad as a lot of people say it is and we find out that you try to just pray it away right like that it I really, really sincerely hope that's not the case. But you know, knowing elected officials, I am, let's just say, I'm a cynic when it comes to them doing quote the right thing. Well, and not only Flint, but Jackson, right, a more recent example, Yeah, yeah, Jackson, Mississippi. Like so you can't play with that kind of stuff. And it's it's amazing to me that the people who say that they love the environment so much, that they love the environment so much that they want you to get rid of your gas powered cars and go get electric. That they love the environment so much that they want you to stop eating meat and start eating crickets. That those people don't seem to give a damn about an actual environmental disaster, a real one, a literal one right in front of your face, Robin, would you trust that water? Uh? No, So you know, honestly, like I was just, you know, was telling you before, is you know about filter shower heads and stuff. I mean, I don't know much of what much difference that would make, but I definitely strongly suggested for everybody and to even get it like maybe a Britta um water filter thing. I would not drink the water. No, No, I mean, can you imagine there were you're you know, you're a mother, and could you imagine there were mothers on TV that were like, I'm afraid to bathe my child because I don't trust this water. Yeah, imagine what that would feel like as as a mother yourself. That would suck. That would absolutely suck. Um. I guess that would boil down to all the little white bees would be out of stock because the white bees and the jugs and water and everything. I can you know, I was thinking about that too, because you know, it's like the same thing, you know how like when the pandemic hit and like all the water was out of stock, you know, and things like that. And I was just thinking about it, like with this going on, like I already barely like the water is already going empty on shelves like in certain stories, I've already seen that, you know, a lot of the water is empty. So I can only imagine what that's gonna be, Like it's gonna be. It's it's awful, man, It's awful. And Dante. One of the things that really pissed me off is UM. They had a community meeting UM the other day in East Palestine and Norfolk Southern rail the railroad that caused all of this message. They didn't show up. They didn't show up. They said they were in fear of their safety. That's a load of crap. They didn't want to have to face the residents. One thing that they were doing with some of the residents is going around waiving a thousand dollars checks in exchange for them signing a waiver, saying that they couldn't see what yep sonute right, because I've seen it's not even just you know, in the one area, because like I've seen multiple different videos, like there's videos and pictures of animals you know that are up. Yep, yep, fish were foxes were dead, somebody somebody's cat died and then like the foxes, like the one fox look it just looked like it was just like I don't even know how to explain how his fur looked. Its just wow, it just looked almost like he was in a fire or something. But they keep telling everybody that everything's okay. Everything's not okay, like it's it's it's not okay. I don't give a damn what you're saying, Like that's so so don say to you, like, what what's your thoughts on the way that Norford Southern is handling us? They better get the checkbook ready. They better get the checkbook ready because they gonna get that class action lawsuit is gonna be expensive, you think about, and it may not that that bill may not come due for a long time, but yeah, a thousand dollars that ain't gonna cut it. Man, You're gonna have to You're gonna have to really really pay up because this is huge and you know the city and the state would love nothing more than for them to have to foot the bill instead of you know, them to have to foot instead of you know, the city of State to have to foot the bill. So they're gonna be all in favor of this company getting the break suit off of them, and they're about to like it. Like I said, the bill. You know how this stuff goes, that the bill may not come do for a long time, but that's that's how they're gonna have to deal with this. Right, You're gonna have to, let's put it this way, make a heavy donation to the citizens impacted in East Palestine. That's what you're gonna have to do. Pass that. Get the collection plate ready because people about to get paid. And it stinks that it has to be like this, right, it stinks that you right, but I man, and then to not show up. I don't really think that your reputation can be you know, can get worse. Right, It's like, you know, you know what I mean, It's like, hey, look we already at the body. You know, if I'm if I'm a stock and I'm already at zero dollars, like who cares? You can't go into the negative in terms of approval, right, you know what I mean? So, like, what's the point of going They're just gonna yell at me. I don't I'm gonna have to pay. I'm gonna lose this. I'm gonna have to pay a heavy, heavy settlement. I'm probably gonna have to give something to the government because you know, they're gonna find a way to tax me. Right, Like what am I about to go here for? And get yelled at that? But they should have said the representatives though, man, I mean, at least act like you give a damn who would have volunteered to do that? He representative is doing that, I'm not. They get a bunch of months, they get you get paid a lot of money from that company, So get your ass down here. Yeah, I'm gonna need a bonus. Well they don't have it, they'll have it, maybe a guy y'all don't have to send me my bonus before y'all get that lawsuit. I think it was wrong though, man, I really do think it was wrong for them not to put them to stiff that. And I was just looking up the population of of East Palestine, right um. Unfortunately there were some residents. I don't know how many thing. It was a small amount. There were some residents who were tricked in the sign and that that waiver for that thousand, right, um, the majority of them did. Now East Palestine's population is only they're forty six they're forty seven hundred people. You know, as a comparison, the neighborhood that I grew up in in Cleveland had over twenty thousand people in it when I grew up in it, you know what I'm saying. So this is a small and we're not talking about a whole that ain't the city. I wouldn't. I didn't grow up in the suburb. I grew up in a neighborhood of the city of Cleveland. So that shows you how small this place is relative to the Cleveland. So Norfolk Southern has plenty of money to make all of them people rich, all of them people rich, and they gonna have to. Like it's all. There's already been a class action law suit filed already, and all those people deserve it, man, they deserve it. Like you can't want you're afraid to bathe your child? Would you take a shower in that water? Just once? A fifteen minute shower, an eight minute shower in that water for a hundred billion man. Well, and I told you, I think I know I mentioned to this. I don't remember if I said it on the gar I think I did, but I know I said this before the show started. There was a woman who took a shower and said her scandal was burning. It was burning all day. Yeah, I don't know, money, I'm out to that. I'm sorry. That's insane. And they have And to go back to what you said, Robert, they have filter showerheads. I didn't know that. Oh yeah, I'm kind of a little different one. Go right on Amazon. I didn't know that. I know about the filter like for the foss and stuff, but I didn't know they had it on it. Yeah, and I to me personally though, Um, I agree with what Jessic Guitarloff said. Those people need to leave that area for a while. Um, because you don't when when the stuff got into air, right Like, you don't know how that impacts you. Some of that stuff you won't know for years, you know what I'm saying, a lot of that stuff doesn't happen right away. So um, yeah, because it wasn't the one it might have been a video that you had shared where like basically like cancer for example. Yeah, like that's not gonna happen for a long time because because it's gonna take time for that to build up. But you how, you're gonna know what's like, it's there. You're not like you're just gonna think you're sick and just a normal sick and then one day you're just gonna wake up and you have cancer or you have something wrong with some of your organs, or like whatever the case may be. Well, we saw that in New York after nine eleven. That's why there were a lot of people who died, a lot of people who weren't even at the World Trade Center who died from nine eleven related illnesses and nine eleven related cancers because of the pollutings that went in the air after the buildings came out. Wow, all of that is best us and you know all that other stuff that goes into to building those buildings. When those when the buildings came down, all that stuff went in the air and it polluted the air for a very long time, you know what I'm saying. And there were people, there were some people where it was like twenty years before they died as a result of as a result of that. So you know, that's it's very concerning. And there was another lady that was like I saw her on TV and you know, people asked about, you know, leaving and selling your house and all this stuff, and she was like, who's gonna buy a house in East Palatine right now? She's like, nobody's He's like, this is gonna destroy our property value. She's like, nobody's gonna buy anything around here anytime. So and she's right. So it's like those people are just stuck. I mean they are. I mean yeah, I mean, I guess it all depends on you know, your funds and whatnot. But yeah, because it's not a wealthy area either, you know what I mean. So it's just it's awful, man. So I think those people need, like people need to do whatever they they have to do, the state government, the federal government, because it has to be them to have the because only ones with the budget like this, this small village of four thousand people, they can't afford this, But the state and the fads do whatever, especially like the council president of the City of Cleveland is on the record saying he would welcome to people of these palace gaps. So the state government and the federal government needs to do whatever they need to do to get those people the hell out of there and get them up here. On that note, we are going to take a break. We'll have tea time with Row when we come back here on the Outlaws. American culture is at a crossroads. I'm Kira Davison. So we were supposed to do uh, my mind is blanking. Uh. We were supposed to do tea time. There we go, UM in this segment. But I'm called it audible, you know, based on a conversation that we were having off the air, UM. And it brings an interesting question to my mind, and I thought it would be good to talk about it on social media, well on on the air, UM. And we'll go to Robin's first, because of course Robin loves loves these these topics. UM. In twenty twenty three, how does social media help or hurt dating? See, I didn't know where you were going with that. I was like sweating, Okay, I'm like, where's he Okay. Honestly, UM, I wouldn't. It's really how you think about it, because it's not necessarily helping or hurting. It's more so making things more out in the open. It's just things that was already happy, but now that there's social media. You know the way that social media is. It's like you can see things, you can find things, things of the sort. Back in the day, it wasn't like that. You you was gonna find out through through mouth, you know what I mean. So yeah, it's really hard. It's really hard to say. I mean, I would say it makes talking a little a little easier. It does, yeah, because everybody voluntarily putting a business out of the street. Um, I just think it's it's it's interesting because uh, as we were having having a conversation during the break, you know, just random conversation that just came up. And I think, Robin, there's I think you make a lot of good points in that. And I think one of the one of the issues I see is that it adds an extra element because relationships are hard in in a role, right, if you're gonna have a good one that last for a long time, it's hard. In general. You already have enough complications and things to deal with and all of that. And I think sometimes when people put their bid, put all their business out there, that becomes a problem because you're inviting uh yeah, I know, and that's why, like you know, I mean me personally, I'm a very private person, and you know, I guess I guess it really depends on your level of maturity. UM. I know a lot of these males and females though very immature. So there's that. UM, you know that that's definitely very true about that. UM I would also say, you know a lot of the problem. I would say it does cause problems in relationship to an extent as well, because you know how everybody's got these little podcasts too, and they'd be all on on social media and next thing, you know, everybody's a dating expert. So there's that. That's actually a good point. Hold on, hold on, I want to I don't want to move away from that. Let's let's let's let's chew on that for a minute, because because you make a very good point, because and I want your thoughts on this. There are a lot of people right now who call themselves relationship experts who give really bad ass advice. Man. I just seen one the other day and it was like it was like for the guys like how to like I don't think keep your woman or make her happy or draw a woman in or something. I forget what it was. And it was just like so much bad advice. And I was like, that is one way to not get what it is that you want? Do you not follow these directions about that? Most people giving relationship advice I think are bad at it. Yeah, yeah, you know, it's just they are not great when it comes to giving relationship advice because everybody got something they need to be working on. So unless this is the most transparent, um down to earth person ever, you know, they there's probably some sort of bias or some sort of slant. You know, you got guy's ere getting relationship advice from Andrew Tate, and you got women getting advice from you know, the most single women out there. It's like, and these people don't they can't help you man. And then of course it's all generic because nobody knows your partner like you know your partner. Nobody knows you like your partner knows you know what I'm saying. So what works for somebody may not work for your you know what I mean? So I'm not in I don't ever want to be typecast. Is that it's just like, oh, you know, this is the relationship god, or this is the relationship woman, because what happens when that if ice don't work and you got a bunch of angry consumers. That's mad that man. You told me all I had to do with my flowers. My girl don't like flower you know, that's how you know, that's how, that's how I go. Right, Oh, if you just make sure you get her some flopowers for Valentine's Day? What if she don't like flowers? Hey, both both of y'all have watched Martin before, right, So you remember there was an episode of Martin where Martin was the love doctor and he was given a bunch of relationship advice and it damned almost all of it went bad. He got beat up by Big Shirlee like you, almost all he hooked up his best friend and his worst enemy on accident, you know, because of his quote unquote advice and a lot of these gurus. Man, And I remember years ago, Dave Chappelle I had told a joke it was like, you know the problem with women as women get advice about men from other women and they don't know what the hell they're talking about. Listen, and I'm telling you, And that's why, you know, when I started actually just getting an interest in paying attention to a lot of that, I actually stopped. I mean, there are certain women that give good advice. You know, I got a few faves, but you know I did. I paid more attention to a lot of what men were saying, not just in videos, but in comments like and you have to pay attention like his, like they're basically telling you. And then like as for the women, like instead of men going to men, men need to pay attention to the women and what women are telling you. And like you know how Dante was saying, it's like basically listening to these people is pointless because because it can go south real bad, you know, like rough fast. You just need to know who it is that you're with. You need to know like their love languages. You need to know like their triggers. You need to know when something seems off you just you just need to know. Um And that's really that. And just you also have to know you, like in a healthy way, like you have to be able to communicate, be open minded and just ready to hear and ready to not just um say something to respond. But when you when you have these uh um conversations with your significant other, you need to actually hear them and what they're saying. Yeah, absolutely, And I think I mean it sounds it sounds elementary, but you know, honesty and trust you know it's the best policy. You know what I'm saying. Like, if if you're in a situation and both of you are honest, both of you are trustworthy, and both of you communicate with one another, Um, that's the best advice you can get. M you know what I mean, anybody else because a lot of these other folks are just gonna tell you stupid stuff and it's gonna in You're gonna end up on the street. You know what I'm saying. Listen, and if you lacking, and if it seems you know, if you lacking, you need to you need to get that together. If you lacking in something, I mean that also can bring a problem, you know, to the relationship, is something that you are doing or not doing. Yeah, yeah, absolutely so, um Dante, I didn't get what closed out here. I didn't get a chance to ask you the the first question that I asked, do you think social media helps or hurts relationships today? I haven't unless y'all making money on social media like one of them YouTube couples, I haven't really seen where it, you know, benefits. It's I don't really know what the benefit is um because social media can create an illusion that it's just not there. You know what I'm saying, like, oh, he liked this picture? What that mean? Or she did it is? What does that mean? You know what I mean? Like this post about me is that you know? So it's just like I don't know. But then you almost have to use it because you know, if you're not you know what I'm saying, like, well, because if you don't, then woman, especially as a man, if you don't, then a woman may feel like, oh are you hiding me, You're doing something else, You're ashamed of me? Whatever whatever. So yeah, hey and listen, I'm gonna tell all my girlies. Okay, just because he posts, you don't mean he ain't out here being a dog. Okay, So that don't matter. It don't matter, It don't matter. And it actually men posting you more so draws the little hot pants females in. Okay, it do because oh he's taking them. Yeah, it draws. It draws them in when they see like if you post your they post their female. Even if females post their dude, then here come to females, you know, coming after to do And I know and I know that there are some people that feel one way one way or the other, like you know, yes, I'll post my mate. You know no I won't, you know, for whatever reason. And I think you know both sides of the valid argument me. I don't have a problem posting. I'm okay with it. Do you know what her o? I think I used to be that person that I used to want somebody to actually post me. But now it's like, I'm not posting nobody because what if it goes wrong? And now I gotta look all embarrassed because well here's the thing. There's a caveat to that though, Like I'm willing to post, but like we gotta be solid, solid because you ain't gonna have me out you look stupid. No, no, they're better to be a ring on my finger. Oh really? Oh you want so you don't want to get posted until you get engaged. Listen, I'm not posting. You can post me, but I'm not posting you. I'll post things that signifies that I'm in you know, in a relationship or whatever, you know what I mean, Like i'd let it be known if I'm in a relationship, I'll let it be known. But that don't mean that I have to post who it is, you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, you know, it doesn't It doesn't bother me. I mean the attention, The attention does come when you do that. I've I've been with this and then you don't. If you don't work out, then listen. No, I haven't been a listening I have not been in a relationship in years. So when I do, you know that it is a good one. You know, why haven't you it? Um, I've probably been in a relationship sooner than you have been because it's been quite about But I mean it's been a couple of years for me too. But um, but I don't, like I said, I don't. I don't think I have a problem with it, but I wouldn't do it right away. You know what I'm saying. You gotta be you gotta be solid. So um, yeah, that relationship got to marinate. Okay, Yeah, absolutely, without a doubt, without a doubt, no no doubt about it, because you can't be I know somebody, and I don't know if it's I still can't figure out if this was a joke or if this was legitimate. She put up that she was in a relationship with a dude and they broke up the same day, you see. I mean, I've seen that happen. I've seen a lot of toxic relationships like that, and I'm like, what was the point? Like, I don't know, listen, are you ain't about to have me out here looking like the clown? Have you seen that before? Like not the same day, But it's happened a bunch. It's like, y'all, don't y'all didn't last at all at all, Like there was no effort, nothing like nothing. The worst ones, though, are the ones who post and then they break up and then they get back together again. Toxic that that has got to be draining. That has got to be very much energy draining. I could not listen. I told you before, Darve, y'all, I'm not gonna put up with argument left and right. I'm gonna give you your time. Okay, I'm gonna work this out with you. But you you have a limit. Just no, you have a limit, and I'm not gonna fight with you that one. Not. I've seen too much of it growing up and just like you know in the inner you know, circle family ish stuff, but like I've seen too much of that have been through too much around, too much of that to be dealing with that. It's too much our unifighting. It's just drained you. Yeah, it's exhausting. I've been in a relationship like that where you know, it's just constant arguing and then we were together for years and it's like it's so exhausting. But by the end of it, it's like I just got to get away from you, Like I just want to be done with you because I like, literally we aren't good for each other. So let's just call it as quick correct great, Right, So on that note, good conversation. We're gonna go. Now, We're gonna go to tea Town with the world. We come back here on the Alien. I just tried to not be on speaker, but you guys will, so here is the Time with Row, and I have some key for you. So, so we are going to go with Candice Owens. Okay, So Candice Owens had a comment after the super Bowl where Rihanna had performed, and so she said, I don't want to jinx it, but Rihanna is the first female Super Bowl performer in recent memory that has managed to keep her clothes on. Nudity doesn't shock me anymore self respect does. And then she said, I've always liked Rihanna something about her. I'm actually very surprised and impressed, and I'm glad we brought up this topic because it gives me an opportunity to compliment Candice from Once because she's actually saying something that I agree with in a way that I agree with for once, y'all know that I'm a big Rihanna fan. I've been a Rihanna fan forever, um, so you know, I totally agree. I know people have been taking a dump on her performance. I thought her performance was cool and I mean to be suspending in the air like that, and and she a whole pregnant woman, like you know, I liked it. I didn't have a problem with it, but you know, I was actually I'm very surprised, very surprised that CAMPUS said that, and I agree with her. Shocking, I agree with her. I I don't know. I mean, Rihanna was pregnant, so like I didn't I wouldn't expect her to be, you know, half naked. I would hope she wouldn't be but naked, you know what I mean? Like that to me, it's I almost feel like, well, I mean, what was she supposed to be, Like, she's supposed to be pregnant. I've seen people people for whatever reason, I always feel the need to comment on a halftime show and it's like, I promise you it wasn't for you. It's for you know, because you get them hardcore ball fans. It's like they should put on a rock bead or they should put on Yeah, but they're not doing this for you, like Rihanna is so that your wife and daughter will watch, not because they know that people like I'm gonna watch regardless. So you want to get like my girlfriend or you want to get you know, a niece or a daughter to come watch that with, you know what I mean, So that that's who this is for. So it it's probably not for Candas either. But I'm glad that she enjoyed it, or at least was able to respect it, right, because far too many people well it wasn't enough action. Well, she clearly is pregnant. What do you want to do? Do cart wheels and spin around and jump, you know, like that's not what's gonna happen. I thought it was actually pretty interesting. I was nervous a couple of times, like, man, yeah real high, I could never you know what I mean, like, how are we gonna be suspended in the air like that? I'm afraid of heights? I commented on just that and low no yeah, oh yeah, no, I respected man. I respected, I thought it was good. Robert, Before you move on to the next topic, what did you think about the performance? Um? You know, I did like it. Um, I mean, yeah, there's not really much she could have done because yes, she was in the air. I did like the performance though, I mean, but then again, I just love Rihanna, so she can do no wrong. But you know, as far as the whole nudity thing, like, yes, I respect that, but at the same point, that girl knows she lying. Like, first of all, I've always liked Rihanna. Girl. If Rihanna wasn't pregnant, she would have been half nicked. He would have been in some sexy type of attire by her stylists, because that's just what it is for female performers, you know. And so I mean, like you guys were saying, what is she gonna do she's pregnant, like what else she's supposed to And I'm sure it wasn't very warm in the air. Yeah, so like she wanted to be fully covered, like let me avoid getting sick, you know, being cold, et cetera, et cetera. So yeah, and if I'm not mistaken that that actually might be her from her clothing line. Oh really, I don't know for sure, but I'm almost positive that might be from her clothing line as well, because she was she was um promoting her stuff. She even had her fenty um makeup as well, and that's the stuff that made her billionaire, right, So she was promoting her stuff. No, she didn't get paid to do the show, but I bet you she was promoting all her stuff right right, like she should be. M hmm yeah, absolutely. Next, So for the next one, we're gonna go about the Yep, we're gonna go with that. So this one is kind of funny. Actually, bands launched a petition to end Hallie Bailey and ddg's relationship because DDG was dating What was it? What was it? I want to say, is it wasn't Embers. Am I wrong? No, it wasn't Embrose. Who was it? I don't remember, no idea who these people are. Yeah, I know who the babies are. Yeah. So his anyway, his ex just came out of nowhere and she's like been um, like messing with Halley or whatever, and all of a sudden she's posting receipts of conversations that happened between her and DDG. And so people are like, oh, no, he's a cheater. He's cheating on her. So now they literally have created the petition for them to end their relationship. And that is just hilarious to me because she is not about to leave her man because y'all have a petition going around if she's gonna leave him, she's gonna leave him because she wants to leave him. That sounds crazy. And that goes right back to the last topic we just had. When you when you have a relationship that's overly public. And again I am not saying that you should hide your woman because I don't believe that either. Whatever y'all comfort level is. If y'all agree to go public, but you should. But you can't put all your business out there. You can't be because when you do that, you're inviting people in your relationship and they feel like they have a right to say something about it. That is that random people all across these United States and maybe some people in the world too, would take the time out there a day to do a damn petition to get somebody to dump they significant other. That's absurd to me. Yeah, you got way more time on your head, right because, like I mean, that's funny, but she's because Hallie was saying, she was like, that's the devil blah blah blah blah blah, like when she found out our seeing the receipts or whatever. But it's just like, if somebody is gonna want to relieve a relationship, they're gonna do it because they want to. Like, you can't force people apart or make them break up because of how you feel. Everybody this everybody in this world. They just feel too entitled to everybody else's life and business and things like just mind your business, Go have several seats. Okay, go get you a hobby or something instead of trying to butt into other people's business. That's right, that's right. Don't tell your thoughts. I agree. Why am I signing a petition for something that's not gonna happen either way? Like, okay, we get a million signatures and they're still going to be together. They want to be Like this doesn't make any sense, right, A waste of time? Why do you care? Why do you care that much about somebody else's relationship of two people that you may never meet ever in your life? Right? Like what y'all sound crazy? Just I don't know, that's mild. It's funny though, it's funny. All right, we do have time for your last one, so let's let's get it. Okay. So my last one is big congratulations to Pharrell Williams as he is named Men's Creative director at Louis the Time. Shout out to for Relum. That's absolutely dope, Um, Dante, are you a Louis the Time man? Nope, I have um had one of their cologns. I think it was orange or orange how we pronounce it. Actually smells great. But other than that, I don't own anything by it by them, you know what. I'm I'm a cologne guy, but I haven't had any of their cologne. Um, I don't have to try it out too, because I'm a guy I love likes cologne, is the truth. But so the Louis Vaton cologne was cool. It was cool. I think it was orange orange orange however you pronounce it, but yeah, it's spelled like orange. It's it's actually really good. Um. Not not my favorite of my goal to, but it's a pretty it's a pretty good. Uh, it's a pretty good sent Well, real quick, what you'll go to? So I have to My everyday scent that I wear every day is d or Savage. That's really good. I've had some of that. Yeah, that's still I think that's still the best one. And then there's another one that's called Citizen Jack. Um that's fantastic too. You can't go wrong with either one. Okay, man, I don't think I've even heard of sense in Jack, but but I've had I've had some of the b rs. So yeah, the girl I love that said that you get some Citizen Jack has like a switch up. Your girl will love it, all right, you hear that? Man, those of you listen to the show, make sure you get something. Love it Jack. You can find it in any mall in this country. Make sure y'all go do that. Robbie, are you a Louis Vuton girl? I can't say that it is in my tax bracket. No, Well, we'll have to all go get something from Louis to support for real you know show for real love. So yeah, because you know what I mean, you don't really hear much about him. He's just been minding his business and you know he's always been a good, uh you know, music artist and just real chill, real laid back, and you know, for him to step into something like that, something new, well kind of mid new. He did it for a while. I think from like two thousand and six to two thousand and eight he was like with them, but just with them. But now he's like the head guy. Um, so that's your big step. So yeah, it's pretty dope. That's what's up. Congratulations So for real, all right, stay tuned. We have Dante's Hate's coming up next here on the album. These days it seems like everybody's talking, but no one is actually listening to the things they're saying. Critical thinking isn't dead, but it's definitely low on oxygen. Make sure that you like us on Facebook and Facebook dot com. Slash the Outlaws Radio follow us on Twitter and Instagram, The Outlaws Radio and now was the time to show that we liked called Dante's I Takes telling the truth. Whether you like it or not, it's Dante's Takes on the Laws Radio show. Well, I saw I watched the Super Bowl, of course, as anybody who knows this show knows, you know, residence sports fanatic here. And at the beginning of the Super Bowl, when they were doing quote songs to honor America the Star Spangled Band or our National Anthem and America the Beautiful, they they've added another song in there to sort of honor America's history and honor Black history. Right. The NFL decided that it was necessary in light of, you know a lot of protests from twenty twenty um, like let's let's do something to honor the other another part of American history and black history. And they decided to play, which they did a lot last season, a song called Lift Every Voice and Sing. It was dubbed by the NAACP in nineteen seventeen, sort of in a tongue in cheek way, the quote black National Anthem, just a little bit of history on the song Lift Every Voice and Sing. It was written by James Weldon Johnson, who was a civil rights activist. He was a poet, songwriter, singer. It was written in nineteen hundred, right. It started out essentially as a hymn played in forty two different denominations of churches in this country. It was written from the context of African Americans overcoming the horrors and tragedies in this country from the previous century into the nineteen hundreds. And I just want to read some of the lyrics to you before I get going. So lift every voice and sing till Earth and Heaven ring ring, with the harmonies of liberty from the third voice, God of our weary years, God of our silent tears, Thou who hasn't brought us thus far on the way right. This is a song that if you grew up in any way around black people, whether you went to a black school, if you got older black grandparents, right, you heard this song. And quite honestly, I've never met a person who has heard this song and didn't think it was beautiful. So that leads me to we had a lot of people, to my surprise, that were upset and triggered that the NFL would play this song a him before the Super Bowl. I mean, if we played Amazing Grace before the Super Bowl, would anybody be upset? I don't think so. But people were upset because of the word black national anthem. One of the arguments I saw a lot of was we already have one national anthem. Well, let's just start here. The United States does have one national anthem. The quote black national anthem was dubbed that simply because this was written at a time where black people were kind of a separate entity in this country. So there was that, But it's not meant to be divisive. It's more so meant to say, wow, look at that, look at that story of struggle and overcoming. We can all learn and take pride in that as a country. Right. So I found it to be quite sad that so many people were triggered by this song, because my first question is a have you heard the song? If you've heard the song, I don't understand how you could hate it. And then the second argument was, well, it's a great song, but you're trying to be divisive. How the song literally starts off with lift every voice in sing not lift every black voice, not lift black and brown voices, lift every voice in sing. I mean, you could be a white person and be inspired by that song. But I believe once again that this is a group of people that just don't understand the culture, don't understand the climate, and anything with the word black in it just triggers them absolutely, and they don't want to admit that. I've confronted people on that and said the exact same thing, like the problem is the word black, Like the fact that you would have an issue with us, the fact that so called conservative Christians would have an issue with a hymn being sung at the super Bowl when they didn't even call it the black national anthem who at the super Bowl? It says a lot. The problem is for too many people, they are uncomfortable with the word black that they want to pretend that it doesn't exist. And no, we're all the same, No we're not all the same. We can be equal. Equality and sameness are two different things, right, we can all be equal, We're not all the same, and that's okay. I confronted a guy on Twitter when I said, you know, in my mind, I think part of it is people get this the race versus ethnicity thing confused because those of us and this is like real quick, gonna be like real heavy stuff. But as we know, as as some people know, race is largely a social construct, right Like, biologically there's very little difference between somebody who's black versus somebody who's white or any other race, right, But there are different ethnicities. And what was the point that I was trying to make to someone who was just clearly not getting it, is that Black Americans, African Americans, however you want to call it, you should view us as an ethnicity the same way that you view Italian Americans, the same way that you view Irish Americans. I don't see a bunch of people complaying about Saint Patrick's Day or all the little Italy's and in China towns and Asian towns around the country. But it only becomes a problem when it's something black. And this one idiot responds to me, you said, oh, well, well those are mysities, that's not a different race. Okay, Well, first of all, again you don't understand the concept of what race is. And second of all, so you're saying, even if you're accurate, let's say you're let's say you're right, which you're not. But let's say you're right. So you're saying that because black people are a quote unquote different race in your mind, that we should we shouldn't be able to do anything to honor our history and heritage. Right, And then people kept saying, well, what about this group having their national anthem and this group having their national anthem? And I point out to somebody and of course they're not trying to hear it because they don't want to hear it. It's will for ignorance. But I pointed out, Black Americans are unique. We have a unique relationship with America. We have a unique history with America. You can't compare that to anybody else because our history and relationship to America was unique. We didn't come here, we didn't here, right, So our relationship, for the most part, I know, there was some freed men that were always I get that, but so our situation, our relationship, our history, our heritage with this country is different. And I'm not saying that that means that no other group went through stuff. You know, I'm very clear about the fact that we should talk more about what some of these other groups went through too, because maybe hopefully it will when when they understand the things that their ancestors went through, that maybe some of these people can have a little bit more empathy for what we went through. Right, So, I think it's important to talk about what Italians went through, for example, the discrimination and the racism that they did dealt with. The Robin and I have talked about this privately off air. You know, Robin's Irish. You couldn't tell was the last name. The Irish treated like garbage. I was treated like dirt when they got here, you know what I'm saying. And I personally think it's important to talk about those things so that people can understand if you if you feel what you feel about what your ancestors went through, maybe that helps you understand a little bit more why we feel what we feel about what our answers went through. Right. So, I'm not saying that nobody else went through things, but our relationship with America is unique, and people need to stop pretending that it is so that it isn't. Excuse me, um, don't say anything you want to add and then uh let him not to follow you. Yeah, I think we I think we covered it. Stop being triggered by the word black, see black, or stop being triggered by it grow up. UM. Follow me on Instagram and Twitter at tape b ta E, b r y E and real quick, Robin. You have mentioned when we were kind of going over this before the show started, Um, because I think part of the issue too is that there's a lot of people who don't who've never heard of a dog No song in the first place until the last couple of years. And I thought it was real interesting when you said when you first when you first heard of lift every voice and saying, and it shows once again, it's another example of why why you are more culturally competent than some of these other people who are complaining about this stuff. So tell everybody when you first learned about the song and then let him know. Ah, oh, I was in elementary. I was like maybe fourth or fifth grade, and I know I knew that song by heart still to this day, like sometimes it would flow through my head like randomly. But you know, I also but again, you know, I grew up in the hood, So I don't know if there's any bit of a difference. I don't see a problem with it. I mean, people just need to come up off the high horse, if you may, and just just chill because there ain't nothing wrong with it. I mean, of course, people don't know how to come together. That's that's the problem. People don't like to come together. They just want to nitpick and find something to complain about. That's right. But anyway, go ahead and follow me on Instagram at Real Robin O'Malley, and then you can follow me on Facebook at Robin O'Malley, and you can follow me on Twitter at real Robin. Oh and uh, real quick before before I close this out, Dante, I think that answer was just a perfect example of why Robin is our co host rights exactly, It's exactly why you're here because you get it. Damn it, you understand it. That's why you are our co hosts. That's exactly why, because damn it, you get it. Now follow me, follow me everywhere at da Kingpin as d k I g pi is. We are out of here.
